Stay in touch without words
Most hearing-impaired people communicate through sign language. But they too need the opportunity to ask for help quickly and without complications.
NEAT, in collaboration with SMARTCOM, offers an an emergency call solution for hearing impaired customers in the form of an app for android smartphones. Using menus that rely exclusively on visual cues, the user can quickly and simply communicate with the emergency call centre. It can be used to communicate a range of alarms, as well as other information such as doctors’ appointments.
- SMARTGPS and SMARTCOM require a contract with a service provider to receive alarms and to communicate with the user.
- If you’re a service provider please contact your NEAT sales team to confirm commercial availability of the APP in your particular country.
- If you’re an end user you’ll need to find a telecare service provider ready to work with this APP; at this moment NEAT is not ready to comment on service providers working with the APP. If you need help to install the APP, please contact your service provider.
