Neat is leading the digitalization of the social-healthcare sector

The Swedish Embassy, with the collaboration of Neat, carried out a day of digitalization entitled "Leading the digitalization in the social-healthcare sector”. The event took place at the residence of the Swedish embassy in Madrid on May 30. In this space, representatives of different Public Administrations and private companies, specialists in technology and digital services from Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and France, gathered in order to share reflections and strategies, analyze the imminent staging of the digitalization in the social-healthcare sector and share their experiences and their digitalization projects.
The digitalization of the social healthcare sector is in the forefront of current affairs, this reality responds to various causes, one of them is centered on the need to adapt to the new times in a connected world, where digital technology has been introduced with great force in the day to day of human beings. Likewise, we should not rule out the growing global transition from analog communication networks to digital networks.
This event was the ideal scenario to analyze the benefits that digitalization brings to the social-healthcare sector, standing out the permanent connectivity and security, the access to information from anywhere and at any time, the monitoring and analysis of daily routines in real time and the inclusion, to be able to bring attention to people living in isolated areas.
The digitalization also allows moving from the Smart Home concept to the Smart Living concept, where all user environments can be connected. Jérome Boissou, director of the Eliot Program of Legrand, stressed that in order to offer better "user experience" it is mandatory "to create alliances, collaboration agreements between companies", to promote "interoperability of systems"; all this, aimed at adding synergies in favor of the welfare of users.
During the event, both speakers and attendees agreed that the fundamental advantage of the digitalization of the social-healthcare sector is that it allows putting the user at the center of services and improve his quality of life.
Similarly, Adolfo Tamames, founder of Neat, said that digitalization makes it possible to offer the user a "360 degree monitoring", or an "emotional monitoring", that is, the new digital model allows offering integral social and health services that cover the three aspects of the human being, the physical one, the intellectual one and the emotional one; and to generate the ideal conditions so that people can live with tranquility, security and autonomy longer in their own homes.
The event concluded with a discussion forum among the representatives of the Public Administrations, who declared to be aware of the benefits that digitalization brings to social-healthcare services.
